Finding the Root Cause of Your Health Concerns in the High Peak

When you’ve spent years working in the electronics and space industry, a pivot to natural health might seem like an unusual career move. But for Nick Roche, co-founder of Peak Vitality, it was exactly the change he needed. After feeling increasingly disillusioned with his corporate career, Nick spent five years retraining as a Naturopath, combining his scientific background with a passion for holistic healing.

Today, Nick and his partner Emma run Peak Vitality, bringing over 20 years of combined experience in Complementary Medicine to the High Peak.

"People visit the Peak District to feel good, and so we feel our natural health approach should fit in well here," they explain. Their philosophy is simple but powerful: don't just treat the symptoms; find the root cause of the problem, whether physical or emotional, so it is less likely to reoccur.

A Blend of Science and Common Sense

What sets Peak Vitality apart is their use of advanced, non-invasive technology alongside traditional therapies. Nick specialises in the B.E.S.T. (Bio Energetic Stress Test) system, a comprehensive screening tool designed to detect weaknesses or imbalances in the body, such as food intolerances, vitamin deficiencies, and hormone imbalances. This is particularly useful for patients experiencing symptoms even when standard blood tests come back "normal."

Nick also utilises Cold Laser Therapy for rapid pain relief and injury recovery. Emma herself is a testament to its effectiveness. After suffering from chronic sciatica following a hip replacement, she tried a laser session with Nick. "After only one session, I kid you not, the pain had vanished completely," she says.

Emma brings her own extensive expertise to the clinic. With a degree in Complementary Medicine and Health Sciences, she is a qualified homeopath and holds a post-graduate diploma in colonic hydrotherapy, a treatment she has been providing since it was relatively new to the UK.
