Laugh Out Loud This Summer: Den of Laughs Brings 46 Shows to Buxton Fringe

A brand new comedy hub at the Lee Wood Hotel promises to be one of the highlights of this year's Buxton Fringe Festival.

Comedy lovers in the High Peak have a major new reason to get excited about this summer's Buxton Fringe Festival. Den of Laughs, a comedy promoter with a growing reputation across the East Midlands, is launching its first full venue at the Fringe - and it is promising 46 shows across two packed weekends at the Lee Wood Hotel.

Running on 11–12 July and 18–19 July 2026, Comedy at  Lee Wood Hotel will operate across two fully accessible 40-seat rooms, with performances running throughout the day. The format is deliberately flexible - audiences can plan their visit in advance or simply turn up and choose from the day's programme on the door.

A Diverse Programme

The line-up covers a wide range of comedy styles, including stand-up, improv, musical comedy, clowning, comic poetry, and panel shows on topics ranging from politics and music to dating. The programme features both established performers and emerging talent, including several comedians making their Fringe debut.

Highlights from the announced line-up include:

Dawn Bailey, described by reviewers as "the female Peter Kay"
Charlie Lewis, whose debut show Hungry! has attracted significant online attention
Stephen Catling, a Malcolm Hardee Award nominee and Keep It Fringe Award winner
Enrico Touché, known for blending clowning, trapeze and live music
Devin Gray, as seen on Comedy Central

Tickets are priced between £5 and £12, with concessions available for many shows. The Lee Wood Hotel is fully wheelchair accessible, making the hub one of the most inclusive comedy venues at this year's Fringe.

About Den of Laughs

Den of Laughs was founded in 2021 by Denzil Ede (stage name Denzil de Cristo) and has built a strong following through regular comedy nights in Long Eaton and Nottingham. This marks the company's first time running a full venue at Buxton Fringe, having previously delivered events in Nottingham, Leicester, and at the Ram Comedy Festival in Derby.

The full Buxton Fringe Festival runs from 8–26 July 2026, running in parallel with the Buxton International Festival.
